You’re 16, full of hope, and driven by an awkwardly misplaced amount of self confidence.
It’s not immediately clear whether it’s 1985 or 2005.
Welcome to Preston, Idaho.
A Pocket Full Of Tater Tots is a one-page, one-shot RPG in which you'll play teenagers in the chronologically ambiguous town of Preston, Idaho. You're awkward. You're awesome. And you've got a destiny to fulfill.
Whether it's asking your crush to the school dance or time traveling with crystals, you'll stop at nothing to make your wildest dreams come true.
During character creation, ask "what's your deal?" to find out your character's unique quirks.
Maybe you're Chelton Sonders, a kid who could totally throw a football over those mountains, knows a lot about cyberspace, and is selling hand-woven handicrafts to help pay for college.
Or you could be Jennifer Norris, a lonely young lady who is getting pretty serious with her online girl/boyfriend, has a pocket full of tots, and who chugs sports drinks super aggressively.
The possibilities are endless! Actually, there are 36 different deals you can have, so they're not actually endless, but like, you know what I mean.
To play, you'll need some six-sided dice, a fresh batch of tater tots, and some ketchup if you're feeling it. (Bonus tip: Squirt a little Sriracha into a pile of mayonnaise for a spicy alternative that's dope with tater tots.)
It's time to learn about love, respect, family, and most importantly, about being the uniquely awesome person you are and never apologizing for it.
